Passing of Prof. Marc HENRY

It is with great sadness and emotion that we learned of the sudden death of Professor Marc HENRY on October 30.

Marc had been appointed Professor at the Université Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg in 1993. He founded and directed the Laboratoire de Chimie Moléculaire de l'Etat Solide (LCMES), which was part of the UMR 7140 research teams until his retirement in 2020. His research focused on the chemistry of titanium oxo-clusters, Sol-Gel processes, and the creation of theoretical tools (PACHA software) to predict inorganic condensation reactions.

He was a very committed and enthusiastic teacher, and was very kind to his PhD and Masters students. His door was always open for students to discuss with him.

We remember him as a brilliant, original and deeply human mind.
